First Time Going 'One Direction'

Many of the people that know me very well, know that I am completely in love with One Direction. Not just because of how gorgeous they are, but their music style is very nice, considering they have a pop/rock style. My mum even loves and went with me. She says that 'they are the modern Beatles'. Which is very true, considering how popular they are. Of course, if you don't like them, you can just skip this post, because I might ramble on quite a lot about my first time seeing them in person experience from beginning to end. There's a few videos going to be linked to certain parts of what I have written. Nonetheless with the amount of photos that will be attached, it will be a massive post. Do you think I'm joking? No, I am not joking.

I've been a fan for about three years now, I can't lie and say that I knew them from the start, because I didn't; however, I am a true fan, yet not a crazy stalker fan girl. I do fan girl though. I purchased my tickets in pre-sale dates, I bought VIP tickets, which I got super lucky since they were in row three. I also purchased tickets the first day of pre-sale and got some section 129 seats (the venue this year for the Where We Are Tour was at the Rogers Center in Toronto, Ontario).

Having two dates in Toronto, the first concert (section 129) was on the 1st of August, I went and just enjoyed my time. I did record videos and took some videos, but to be honest, it wasn't worth buying the tickets. The reason being for this was because that the boys looked the size of ants. I didn't really know what was happening on stage, and one couldn't really see what the interaction was between the boys and the fans. I was just watching them mainly off the big screen televisions that they had, which was honestly the same as just watching their movie. I felt no real difference, except the fans screaming more. Of course, this is just my personal opinion about this. If anyone else cannot afford other tickets, do not listen to me, since I was owed some good tickets as I could not go last year and had to sell my own tickets for several reasons.

However, I can tell you what happened on the first day that just made me smile. Mainly things that Harry did, because I'm a Harry girl and well, I noticed him slightly more than the other boys, even though I love them all.
A lot of you probably know that there was a girl that had her birthday on the 1st (I believe that she had a sign or something). Harry saw this girl and asked what her name was, made the entire stadium (which contains 55,000 fans) sing to her 'happy birthday'. This girl began to cry, and well, I actually did too. Later on, I found out that Harry had also given her his bandana because he saw that she was crying and thought that she wasn't having a good time. I mean how sweet is this boy? I can't even comprehend how real he is as a person.
Another thing that he did was when he asked the group if they were having a good time, then noticed that someone was texting. So he pointed at this person and said, "You're lying, you're texting. You're not having a good time!" Then he pulled out his phone and pretended to text, for a few seconds, then put it back in his pocket.
During 'Happily', Harry was being cute and decided to put his hands on his cheeks and smile like an absolute angel. He is just way too cute! There's a Vine of it (not by me, which you can watch here.)
Now, onto the second night, my absolute beautiful VIP seats. They were pretty incredibly close to the stage. Skipping all the pre-concert VIP info, because nothing excited happened. When the concert started, 5 Seconds Of Summer performed a few songs, some were covers. I'm not a fan of them, never did fancy them or their music (maybe if I was a few years younger, my music taste would be different). They do seem like such genuine people. Luke is a cutie though, not going to lie.

Once they finished One Direction came in around an hour later (they took quite a while until they showed up). Just before that though, Paul came walking by the front area of the stage, I tried getting a few photos of him, they turned out blurry though (sad). He took some photos with a few of the fans at the very front area. Then Ashley Benson came out of nowhere with some other girl and was sat near the walkway area of the stage. Sort of jealous of her, but not really.

The came on, of course Midnight Memories was the first song they performed. Once that ended, Harry did his classic water-bottle-spitting all over the crowd and ME! Oh goodness, I got soaked wet! He has a lot of power that boy. Unfortunately, my camera stopped recording just as the water began coming out of the bottle. But I'll still post that somewhere as a Vine or on Instagram. Haven't decided yet about the videos I took through my phone.

Liam started out the speeches with Harry, as they spoke about how much they love Canada. Kept calling it beautiful. Which hey, it is a beautiful country. They just need to meet more of their fans and visit more of its cities! Speaking completely unbiased and as a third-person...nope, that's a lie, since I'm Canadian ha! The video (which I took) for that is here.

The next speech was Louis and Niall. Niall and Liam had a little moment through it where they were absolutely adorable, this is what went down:
Niall: "Five foot eight with the skinny jeans"Liam: "Oooooh"Niall: "That's me. You never told me you wrote that one about me Liam"
This was also the time where Harry started to eat a banana on stage. Oh what a cute little cupcake! Yes, I do have that. The video for that and the speech (which I took) is here.
Niall does have some pretty tight skinny jeans though.
Other speeches Niall began speaking again, whilst Liam was talking to someone else, lifted his leg as he was sitting on one of the speakers. Niall paused looking at Liam being like:
Niall: "Would you look at this, what is going on?"
Liam: *leg still lifted modelling it*
Niall just laughed, continuing on with his speech.
The speech where Louis and Niall spoke right before 'Don't Forget Where You Belong'
Another speech, when Harry was talking, of course, he mentioned things about Canada. Such as the poutine. Niall also seriously asked if we actually say "eh" at the end of our sentences. We do. Not a lie eh. Harry being himself, decided to try and keep 55,000 people quiet at one time (which never was going to happen); however, this did:
Harry: Okay, everyone be quiet. Shhhh
Fans: *screaming*
**repeat**
**repeat**
Harry: Shut up!!
Yet, he didn't apologize, which I thought was strange haha! I mean how cute can they get? So cute right? You can find that video here (which I took) :)

Harry had a lot of energy throughout the entire show. Constantly moving and just wanted to get the crowd moving as much as possible, especially moving our arms in the sky. Here is a Vine (not mine) of him doing that! Such a cupcake!

So throughout the show, Liam pulled off some wicked dance moves during songs. There was a little bit of beat-boxing involved when they were thanking the band. Harry ate a banana on stage, which was brilliant (I did get a video of that as well). I barely saw Zayn on stage, probably was nearer to the right side. I couldn't really see him so often. Harry's voice after about halfway into the show, began to get scratchy, so he told the fans to sing along to loads of his parts.
Liam's power moves
A question you might be wondering is which were my favourite songs that they performed?
Well, I loved 'Don't Forget Where You Belong', because it's such a meaningful song to them. Live While We're Young is such a fun song (my mum sang along to it, yes).
'C'mon, C'mon' is one of my favourite songs also, so that one.
'Happily' I just adored because of the excitement that the performance with it, the streamers and the sparkler lights was so beautiful! And it's just one of my top-fave songs on the 'Midnight Memories' album anyway. I posted that video because I loved it, the sound isn't the best, but oh well! Click here for it!
The streamers coming down during the exciting parts in 'Happily'
'Moments' was also beautiful as well. Considering it was from the first album, and they're now working on a fourth one. It's just oh so nice! Everyone was singing along, such cuteness! I added the video of it that I took on the first day, click here to watch it! :)
'Little Things' I can't even comprehend how beautiful it was to see the people all become so quiet during the performance. The lights and everything just made it so beautiful! Niall was getting emotional. So was Paul, as he pulled his phone out and took a photo of the crowd. You all probably saw the photo on his Twitter. I took a video of it, the day before, on the 1st, here is the link for that one :)
Here's a panoramic shot I took whilst they were singing.
'Diana' was super lovely, my mum always changes the name to 'Suzannah' for me, which I adore every time. 'What Makes You Beautiful' is a classic always! The boys definitely seemed like they wanted to pull something cheeky on Harry during his solo, but they didn't (*darn*).
The boys during Harry's solo in 'WMYB'

Once the main setlist finished, after 'WMYB', they disappeared within the stage. Came back after a couple minutes and well the boys came back to perform the last four songs. Harry definitely went to the washroom during this time, since he was zipping up and buttoning up his jeans on stage...not many people caught it. I did. He-he.
'Story Of My Life' was beautiful and was absolute perfection! (I have part of 'SOML' recorded (which I took), but the sound isn't the best, however Harry's little conductor act in it is cute, so here it is)
Right before that the final song, Harry did a thank you speech, also asking if it was anyone's birthday. I thought it was cute, so I recorded it also. You can watch that here.
The song that ended the performance was 'Best Song Ever', which was lovely, and Liam did some pretty sweet moves in the beginning. Again, the sound isn't the greatest, not at all. Which I do apologize, also that it ends sort of weird because my camera battery died. You will also find me in it, because my mum recorded this one. You can watch that performance here.
The main question you might be wondering is, did any of the boys notice me? Of course you hear about loads of fans go on and on about how the boys 'for sure' noticed them, when it didn't happen. Unless if they physically happened to talk to them. Well, let me answer this question for you.
Harry briefly noticed me, since my mum screamed his name out for him to notice me, I mean the constant pointing had to lead to something haha! Liam came by several times, noticed the girls around me, but not me. However, Louis did notice me for sure as I got confirmation of this (via someone I spoke to which I can't tell you who). Also, Zayn noticed me as well, he waved at me (I have a photo) unfortunately, it's blurry though. So YES! I have been noticed by a member of One Direction and I feel so accomplished! Especially since it was on my New Years Resolutions this year to be noticed by them, or any of them. I just wish that I had met them, but then, I probably would be in a worse condition than I am now. Reminiscing and such.
Zayn waving to me
Basically, you can just say that it was my greatest experience ever as a first legit concert. I had an amazing time seeing them, knowing that they are real people. They have such beautiful hearts, their soul is amazing, and one can easily tell that by the way they sing. They are absolutely perfect and I love them to bits and pieces. Let's hope next year it's an actual North American Tour, adding cities in other parts of Canada! Thank you One Direction for making it such an amazing time for me!

Near the end of the show

I'm just going add a few photos from throughout the show below, captioning them. Enjoy! :)
Louis is pretty fine. He kept sitting on the stage ledge a lot throughout the show
A little row standing, so cute though :)
Zayn and Liam singing

I don't know, but I just love when Harry stands like that!
Can Zayn ever not look beautiful?
I mean, just look at him!
Special Irish snowflake :)
They be strutting their stuff
