Smooth, Soft, Silky, and Suede Shadows | Turkish Delight

Smoky-ness have been the latest trend for the eye looks. There's been loads of YouTuber making make-up tutorials with smokey eye looks of various colours. So many big and small make-up companies came out with darker colours to create those dusky eyes.

Ciaté London recently came out with two new eyeshadow palettes that were collaborated with Olivia Palermo; The Smouldering Eye Palette & Smokey Suedes Eye Palette. I purchased the Smokey Suedes Eye Palette. I've never purchased anything from Ciaté London before, whether it was from nail care or their face make-up. Hearing a lot of good things about this brand (and about their eye shadow loose pigments), I finally decided to give in and buy this new palette they came out with.

The price of the palette is $47, which isn't too bad for nine eyeshadows. This eye palette comes with five shimmery and four matte shadows. The shimmer shadows are Shaken (pearl gold), Glazed (pearl red-bronze), Verde (pearl olive) Prosecco (pearl ivory), and Cocoa (pearl bronze). The matte shadows are Butler (bone), Plumberry (eggplant), Whoopie Pie (deep brown), and Macchiato (dusty pink-brown).

The packaging is incredible sleek and beautiful. A leather-like texture to contrast against the gold outline. (In extreme similarity, the packaging is identical to the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow Contour Palette). A mirror is included full size to the palette. I absolutely love how the palette is based around suede fabric, and how the shadows have been pressed to a suede-like finish. Nine total eye shadows, eight of which are surrounded around the center colour (Butler).

"Seriously soft touch suede eye shadow in my personal favourite shades for beautifully smokey eyes" - Olivia Palermo
The matte shadows are quite pigmented, as are the shimmers, but having only have tried the palette a few times. The shadows are smooth and finely milled, so the colour lasting quality is pretty good, but I believe there are better. Then again, I didn't use an eye shadow primer any of the times.

If you're not a fan of shimmery shadows, you might not like this palette as there is some shimmer fallout. Let me know if you've tried this palette or any of their other products. I'd love to know what you think of it!

Much love, stay classy, and be delightful!
