So I popped into Sephora today and as I approached the little minis that are around the checkout area, I saw this. I had mixed emotions, I was incredibly happy that there was a new set, but upset that they changed them; however, I'm just super duper excited to try out these new lippies.
I adore this set Sephora comes out with, it has a pretty nice combination of lip products that are usual best sellers in a quite decent price. And, I just love the minis.
Sephora Favourites - Gimme Some Nude Lip - $33
Laura Mercier - Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Milky Way:
This lipstick is $34 for the full size, so a little mini deluxe size of this I find is quite alright. It's a brown nude, which I don't really go for brown-y nudes, I tend to lean towards the pinky nudes; so if that's a colour you like, it'd be a good option. Plus, it's a small size, it's not too often a person (I think) would go for this colour. It's a creamy formula with a pretty decent coverage that stays on nicely without going into the lip creases; but, I don't think for lasts for the six to eight colours L.M. say it does.
Marc Jacobs Beauty - (P)outliner Longwear Lip Pencil in Prim(rose):
This lipliner is $30 for the full size (WHAT?!); I find that insane to be quite honest with you. I mean, it is Marc Jacobs, but still. Anyway, this lipliner is an intensely beautiful mid-toned nude colour, which can match any nude or soft berry colour. The formula is gaw-geous because it glides on super smooth. I personally dislike lipliners, since I've always come across ones that just don't glide easy at all; so I end up ditching the liner. This one however, it's super lovely.
Nars Cosmetics - Lipstick in Dolce Vita:
This lipstick is $35 for the full size, which I find that this bigger sized deluxe sample is absolutely beautiful. The light warmly berry toned colour is beautiful for everyday or just as for a soft-lip-colour-kind-of-day. It has more of a sheer coverage than some of the other Nars lipsticks, but it's moisturizing, so that's always a bonus.
Nudestix - Lip + Cheek Pencil in Whispers:
This lip and cheek pencil is $28 for the full size, which is what's given in the set; isn't that a steal?! I don't use products for my lips, on my cheeks; so as just a lip product, it's a beautiful nude colour. It does last a while, considering the creamy texture of it, but I'm sure if it's set with a powder, it'd last longer (of course, as do other lippies). It's easy to blend a pretty natural colour if you want to do a no-make-up makeup look. Beaut!
Tarte - tarteist Lip Paint in Namaste:
This lip stain is $24 for the full size. The mini of this one is nice, the colour is a very nudey nude, but I'm not too sure about the formula. It's creamy, but patchy. Some people either love it or dislike it, I haven't figured out which side I'm on yet. It's hard to find a long-lasting anything that has that absolute perfect formula; but then again, this might be (or might not be) for me, but it might be (or might not be) for someone else.
I don't really know if these are completely sold out on the website, or if it's been a while since they've been out, but I just haven't noticed. This specific set is completely new for new that I've seen and I find it an amazing cute combination of lippies. Let me know below of what you think of the products, or the set if you have it.
Much love, stay classy, and be delightful!
